Gone on Holidays!

Published by leeanneb at 11:58 pm under Parenting, Stress Edit This

So I know I said I would write one more post before I go …. but it seems we got so incredibly carried away with all the last minute stuff one has to do with kids planning for a road trip, that I am left with 7 minutes to write my entry.

And I have nothing new to post. Frown

Let’s just say I am looking forward to spending a long 11 hour drive cooped up in the cab of a pickup with a country music lovin’ driver (my fave is TRANCE - btw …. so the country thing … not the best mix!) and 3 kids at the peak of the sibling rivalry phase.  I’d love to leave you with one of those cool euphemisms the youth of today are so fond of …. Peace Out ….. but peace is far from what I will be experiencing for the next 2 days.  Yell  Laughing

And yes - smileys are my new *thing*.

I’ll make you a deal - if you are all patient with my absence, I promise that when I return at the beginning of September, I will post daily for an entire week (uh … a 7 day week … not a 5 day week.).

Reader challenge for today is to think about self-care for a road trip with a bunch of yelling kids!!  Ok, seriously now - self care IS important even on vacation.  My plan is to visit Minter Gardens to enjoy some peace and quiet amongst nature.  What would YOU do if your summer vacation consisted mostly of making sure the rest of the family had an enjoyable vacation….

Until September,

LeeAnne.

Have a good trip. Good luck on surviving that. Sounds like torture to me which is understandable since I’m not a fan of country.
